Honolulu International Airport
The island of O‘ahu is serviced by the Honolulu International
Airport (HNL). Almost all major domestic and many foreign airlines
fly into the Honolulu International Airport. For those of you
traveling within the Hawaiian Islands, Hawaiian, Aloha, and GO! Airlines
fly regularly between the islands. The HNL airport is about a 20-minute
drive (non-rush hour traffic time) from eastern Waikiki and the University
of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
Airport Shuttle Services
- Airport Waikiki Express - (808) 539-9400: for $9 ($15 roundtrip)
they will take you from the airport to any hotel in Waikiki
- Super Shuttle – (808) 841-2928: for $10-15 per person
(cheaper for a group), they will take you from the airport to Waikiki
or UH Manoa
- O‘ahu Airport Shuttle - (808) 681-8181: for $20-25 per person,
they will take you from the airport to Waikiki or UH Manoa

Taxis
There is taxi service available outside the baggage claim area at the
Honolulu airport. An average fare from the airport to eastern Waikiki
or the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa campus is between $20-30.

Honolulu Geography and Maps


Delegates will be encouraged to stay at accommodations in eastern Waikiki,
near the beach and Kapiolani Park, where we will provide daily bus
transportation to and from the Conference center (
). Adventurous
delegates could even walk or bicycle between the locations; the distance
between the UH Conference Center and eastern Waikiki is approximately
2.5mi or 4km. To encourage more student participation, affordable on-campus
housing will be made available through the UH East-West Center. More
information on all conference accommodations will be posted during
the next announcement.
University of Hawaii at Manoa and East-West Center

The location of the 6th IsoEcol International Conference will be at
the University of Hawaii (http://manoa.hawaii.edu/). More
specifically, the conference will be held at UH East-West Center’s
IMIN Conference center (http://www.eastwestcenter.org/default.asp).
